Team USA Arizona

Team USA Arizona is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to help post-collegiate distance runners who live and train in Flagstaff achieve their Olympic dreams. To be the best runner in the U.S., let alone the world, takes 24/7 dedication to the profession. Athletes will run between 80-150 miles per week throughout the year to train for distance events from 1,500m to the marathon. Training and recovery are key to the athlete’s success. Our fundraising efforts are focused on health care and support services to keep the athletes healthy and running strong. This year’s fundraising will also focus on the community service theme of Team USA Arizona, “Reducing Childhood Obesity in Northern Arizona.”

To increase community awareness of Team USA Arizona and to kick off our 2010 fundraising campaign, we are holding our inaugural fundraising event, “The Run to 2012,” on March 26, 2010 from 7-10pm at the Orpheum Theater. Ticket prices will be $10 and will feature great food, a raffle, silent auction and a live auction of the athletes themselves. Videos of athlete interviews and athletic competitions will be shown as well.
